A Message from the Montana Feed Association President
Happy New Year to you all!
The Montana Feed Association had a very successful and productive 2015. To start the year off our Nutrition Conference committee, put together with Dr. Rachel Endecott, MSU Extension Specialist, an insightful MSU Livestock Nutrition Conference held in Bozeman, MT. Please be sure to mark your calendars for the 2016 MSU Livestock Nutrition Conference and Forum held on April 19 & 20th at the Best Western Gran Tree Inn, Bozeman, MT. More information and the agenda are available within this issue of Concentrates.
Our Annual meeting held in Red Lodge in August was extremely successful. We had speakers such as Dr. Jesse Goff from Iowa State University, Dr. Dan Rule from the University of WY, Dr. Trey Patterson, President and CEO of the Padlock Ranch an AFIA update from Leah Wilkinson, Dr. John Paterson from NCBA and our friends from the MT Dept. of Ag, Andy Gray, Bob Church and Falina Hutchinson. Due to the generosity of our membership and sponsors of the annual meeting, Montana Feed Association will be awarding three $1000 scholarships to Animal Science and AgriBusiness students at the Montana Nutrition Conference and Livestock Forum. If you know of a student fitting that description please get them in touch with us at montana.feed@gmail.com. Thank you to Joe Seder and Dr. Jim Killen for preparing their fantastic Tri-Tip BBQ.
